These are our final digipack pictures, we have a front cover, back cover and four inlays which make up our CD album digipack. We edited all these pictures on photoshop, changing the saturation of them to follow the theme of our video meaning all three texts follow the same colour scheme. We also added text to our images with the text box tool, this included track lists, album titles and thanks. Here are our completed picture

Digi pack pictures (Rough copys/Unedited)
Here are all the pictures we have taken so far of our artist Joseph SoMo for our Digi pack and Inlay pictures. These are the rough copys as we havent chosen which ones we are going to use yet and we havent started editing.
We plan to use this picture for the back cover as there is a good amount of space above and around the artist to put text with his name, album name and track list. We like this picture as it looks as if he is looking up at the text, involving him with it.
These pictures are going to be edited and put in the inlay of our digipack.

Research into how to use Photoshop
As I am not overly confident using Photoshop and I do not have it at home to practice on, I have been watching tutorials on Youtube to help me work out and learn to use the basics to edit our Digipack pictures.
Here are some screen shots from videos I have used to help me learn to use Photoshop

Rihanna - Loud Digipack analysis
Rihanna's album cover for "loud" I can tell that she is being
secretive with not revealing much to the audience to get people to buy the
album to see what she really has to offer. From looking at the picture we can
tell although there isnt much involved, it was been well thought out. Rihanna herself
has got her eyes closed and we can see her long dark black eyelashes which stand
out however, the title "loud" does not relate to the way Rihanna looks in the picture,
she looks the opposite, quiet and peaceful. Rihanna
herself looks perfect, her hair matches her lips, a fiesty
red, giving off a "sexy" image. The colour red is
associated with love and passion which makes us think a lot deeper about what
Rihanna's songs are like. We can tell that
she wants to get her image out so she is known and recognised by many.
From looking at the back cover of this album I can see she still has no
interaction as there is still no eye contact. There isn't much colour
in this picture, the bold vibrant red colour has changed to a very pale which
indicates her soft but still very girly side, the picture appears to have been washed of colour, to tone it down. The album looks very clearly that
it is appealing to females. Instead of the extreme close up photograph of
Rihanna's face we can see her whole body. She looks
weak and vunerable which is a typical image for a young female but she still looks
quite angelic and perfect. She is still giving me the impression that she is
hiding away her "true colours" as the baby pink tint covers her body and face
making the true colours hidden. The
songs which are written on the right of the cover are written in dark red
capital letters boldly emphasising them.

R&B Digi Pack Analysis
I have analysided Jay Z's The Black Album digi pack as he is R&B, some of his music may be seen as similar to our song, so I have looked at his digi pack to get idead for what to do in ours to make it an authentic R&B digi pack.
The inlay consists of many pictures of Jay Z collaged fitting many on each page, a lot of the pictures include him with other celebrities, such as Beyonce, Eminem and Timberland, as they feature on this album somehow, next to the pictures it says thanks, and explains the part they blayed in the album. This is a convention of R&B as it is in a way, showing your popularity and friendships with other celebrities, gaining interest of fans of not only Jay Z's music, but the other artists too.
This album is very plain, and not the most eye catching, as Jay Z already has his own huge fan base that would go out especially to buy this album, he does not especially need to make it stand out, as he will still sell millions of copies to his existing fans.
The back of the album is simple, with the track list at the top in white, with a big empty black space below it emphasising emptiness of the space below, making the buyer question why the layout has been designed like this.
This Digipack has a 'PARENT ADVISORY - EXPLICIT CONTENT' sticker on the front, which is crutial in an album that has gursing or inapporpriate lyrics in it. We will definitely need this on our Digipack, as we do have some cursing words in our song. This is common in R&B music, used to express their emotion.
The CD also has a price tag, and a bar code which we will include on ours also.
As shown in the front and back of The Black Album shown above, the name of the album has been taken very literally when designing the Digipack. The CD disk inside, and the inlays also follow this theme through with black backgrounds and in places, black and white pictures of Jay Z on top of the plain background.
'Black' is the theme of the album, which could appear as a sign of Jay Z embracing his ethnicity and showing the world he is proud to carry his ethnicity and culture through into his music, for everyone to see and hear. Digi Pack pictures
Our given genre was Pop Princess. After researching ideas and popular conventions of this given genre we took our own pictures for Daisy Mays Digi Pack for the album I need you. This is the back and front of Daisy May the Pop Princesses album.
After researching artists such as Britney Spears we decided that the 'innocent' look is popular for Pop Princess albums. The pictures we used are very simple and do not have a provocative nature to them. The majority of our editing process was simply instagram which had an authentic effect we decided worked well for our chosen images. After deciding the track and album names we edited them over the picture in girly white writing. We chose white as it shows innocence linking with the Pop Princess style. We also included a bar code to make the whole thing appear authentic.
